So… yeah, I’ve had both the pattern and the fabric for quite awhile. The pattern is Vogue 8597 and I made view A. I cut a size 16, but should have cut a size 14 given the amount of ease of the finished shirt. I also shortened the sleeves so they would hit above the elbow.
The fabric is a cotton bamboo lycra blend that was not as difficult to sew as anticipated. In fact, the reason I waited so long to make this was my fear of knits. Particularly scared of screwing up a knit that cost $11.95 a yard. Eek! I do know now that knits aren’t scary, and that this fabric is quite lovely.
