Reverb 10. I’m going to try to answer the prompts here.
December 1 One Word.
Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you’re choosing that word. Now, imagine it’s one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you?

2010 – Grow
This word immediately popped in my head when I read the prompt. And it describes so much of what’s happened this year – in all the spheres of my life.
In terms of mothering, I would have thought ‘grow’ would be more appropriate to 2009. You know, growing a human and all. However, just because Miles is out and about in the world doesn’t mean my responsibility to him and his growth is done. Nursing. Diapering. Hugging. Teaching.
There’s more to come with the little guy.
My partnership with J, my post-baby post-kankle recovery, my work – important. And grow I did (and do) in those areas. But its in Miles where I see the growth – in him, in me, in J.
For 2011 my word…. I don’t know yet.
