December 5 – Let Go. What (or whom) did you let go of this year? Why?

I let go of an 8:00 mile.
It used to be easy for me to run. I used to maintain a level of fitness that allowed me to run a half-marathon comfortably. I said ‘comfortably’, not ‘fast’.
The broken kankle pushed me back.
Being pregnant pushed me back.
I lost the baby weight. I stopped nursing. Boobs shrunk. I had no more excuses to not run regularly.
But now, I choose to not run. I instead spend time with Miles. Or JJ. Or catching up on housework, or work work so I can (see previous 2 sentences) spend time with my boys.
So. I let go of my 8min mile.
