I ran the Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half-Marathon on Saturday. Yikes. This was a tough one for me, even though the race was pretty much all downhill. Here’s what’s NOT to do to prep for 13.1 miles of running:
- Bike an epic 80something miles with close to 6000′ of climbing the week prior
- Decide to begin eating cave-man like (ala The Paleo Diet)
- Let work stress you out (I think I averaged about 3 hours of sleep a night all week)
