Five Baht Elephant

November…Greetings!

November 1, 2011

November is Here

Time goes way too fast doesn’t it?

I’m still fighting a pretty nasty cold; I left work early yesterday and called in sick today.  I thought I’d make it to work, but on the treadmill this morning (at 5:15 am) I started feeling woozy and a bit nauseous.  Cut my jog short and came back home and crawled back into bed.  Poor me, right?

So, I’m on the couch catching up on television, thinking through my goals for November.

Exercise:: continue with my beginning yoga class every thursday by going to three classes this month; get back into running by running 10 miles a week; get stronger by strength training 12 times in November.

Body:: tighten up by eating clean;

Work:: just get through this month!

Sewing:: finish up my “pay it forward” projects;

That’s all I can think of right now.  And even though I’m parked on the couch, I’m excited and ready for November.

    I really like how you came up with your blog name! It’s nice to meet you! I hope I can do similar goals for this month… I also have Yoga on Thursday nights! I hope you get better soon…

::The Name::

Five Baht Elephant. My mother is from Thailand, where elephants are royal animals. Growing up Mom would tell us to save our pennies, "in case a man came to our door selling elephants." At the time we thought it was the most absurd thing ever. Now I realize it was the Thai version of saving for a rainy day. Lets hope that we can buy an elephant for only five baht!
