Who doesn’t love new PJs?  Miles is outgrowing his pajamas, you know, the ones with the feet at the bottom?  He’s too tall for them now, so I bought him these new ones.  So. Cute.  Something about little boys dressed in big people clothes sized down – they are just so freaking cute.  I can’t stand it.

My commitment to eating clean is going well; in only a week some of my ‘softness’ isn’t so soft.  For breakfast Saturday I whipped up these pancakes made with almond flour.  I just kind of threw together eggs, milk, almond flour and a touch of sugar.  I fried them up in coconut oil and they were pretty good!  Miles liked them that’s for sure.

I also had some apples that were just a bit past crisp, so I steamed them and used the baby food grinder to make some homemade applesauce.

And then the sewing.  Of course, sewing didn’t happen until after I spent at least an hour just cleaning up the space.  My sister has been working on a quilt for our Aunt, and there were scraps and pieces of batting all over the place.  And I had some lots of projects in various states of progress just cluttering up the surfaces.  Yikes.

These zip bags I just kind of made pattern- and tutorial-less using the zipper length as a guide and my experience making similar pouches.  I totally jacked up the blue one the first go around and had to rip it completely apart.  I sewed the lining in backwards and the zipper was too long so it didn’t come together all that pretty.  That’s what I get for sewing at night after a crap work day!

I love the zipper pulls; I think they are my favorite part of the whole bag.  I think I might have just added the zipper just to use the zipper pulls! I got them at zipit over on etsy.  Great selection.  Great prices.  Super duper fast shipping.

The bags are gifts for friends and I am all ready to send them off.  Yay for finished projects!  Boo for going back to work!

    Cute jammies! I’ll have to go back and read your latest posts to learn what you mean by eating clean. Sounds interesting. Your bags turned out so cute and those zipper pulls are so cute!

::The Name::

Five Baht Elephant. My mother is from Thailand, where elephants are royal animals. Growing up Mom would tell us to save our pennies, "in case a man came to our door selling elephants." At the time we thought it was the most absurd thing ever. Now I realize it was the Thai version of saving for a rainy day. Lets hope that we can buy an elephant for only five baht!
