Yo, I’m done! I finished up the last bit of the big item and whipped up a set of coasters for another small item to send.
My partner’s favorite mosaic was kind of all over the place. However, she does have a blog, and I got a better feel of her aesthetic from there. Her desired list included a wall hanging, so that’s what I went for. I improv-pieced the blocks and sashed it all in Kona Charcoal. And I’m sorry I don’t have the rest of the Kona colors, but I do know that Teal, Orange and School Bus are thrown in there.
And the quilting is simple, straight lines. The binding is quite skinny, and completely machine attached. Is that cheating?
The coasters are fun, I think. And I find them to be pretty handy to have around. At least I use the ones I’ve made and received in swaps! Again, I just pieced together scraps and backed them in some more Charcoal. I love Kona Charcoal.
I think I already blogged the zip pouch. Who couldn’t use a zip pouch?
And its all ready to send. I really hope my partner likes it.
I think this might be my last swap for awhile. I think I want to focus my sewing energy on making things for me 🙂 Ok, I’m not completely selfish. Stay tuned for progress on baby gifts! Lots of babies on the way!
