It has been crazy crazy busy around here. So busy that I have no real sewing shares for ya! In fact, most of my sewing stuff is still packed up in these boxes!
We’ve been in our new-old house for almost 3 weeks now and getting the sewing room set up will have to wait just a little longer. I’m really not exaggerating when I say this is my dream home. After living in Denver for a few years, this is the exact type of house in the exact urban neighborhood I’ve wanted to live since I moved to town! I love it. The big wide front porch, the built-ins, the wood floors, the big trees and lovely homes, the proximity to parks, restaurants, downtown! I love it.
We’ve got painters coming next week, so the sewing room/office will be set up after that. I’ve got tile samples on the way for the kitchen back splash. We have gym equipment and some furniture on the way for the basement living area.
Its been a fun few weeks here so far. We’re a block and a half off the prettiest residential street in Denver and I love running down that street, around Cheesman Park and back home. I love being able to bike 2 streets over and 7 blocks up to the Yoga studio. I love sitting on the big porch while Miles runs his truck into the raised brick flower bed.
It took us over a year looking at houses, deciding on neighborhoods, compromising on the purchase. JJ made some big big adjustments to his expectations to buy this house with me, knowing this house truly makes me excited. He’s wonderful.
