So, I used to scrapbook. I don’t really anymore, but I do still read the blogs of famous scrapbook people (I know, right? They really do exist!). And after a few years of reading about Ali Edward’s December Daily project, I decided to join in this year. For a few reasons. One, this is the first Christmas in our house. And two, I take all these photos, but don’t do much with them off the computer and into the real world. I even went so far as to sign up for a daily journal prompt course. Which, was a great idea. Not just for this album, but just to get me writing again.
And I’m pretty much on track. I’m making 5×7 landscape layouts, and I plan to have a photobook printed at Shutterfly when I’m done. As far as supplies, I just bought a few Christmas digital paper packs for the background. And the rest I did myself – frame overlays and other elements done mostly in Illustrator and then finishing the layouts in Photoshop. I probably could have used InDesign (like our France photobook), but decided to go with AI and PS.
