My poor dress.
I can’t believe this happened. After sewing the lining to the dress, the directions said to turn it all right side out through the shoulder seam. That’s a small seam!
The friction from trying to pull the dress through caused the fabric to fray. And there really is no way to fix it besides starting over. Good thing I bought all that fabric right? Next time, I’m thinking of omitting the lining and using bias tape to bind the neckline and armholes.
- skinny shoulder seam + cheap fabric = no turning
- wine makes me feel better
